EXPORT: SAN FERNANDO VALLEY | BEIJING is a video projection and live music performance that
obliquely confronts spectacle and aesthetic stereotype to explore the soft power of cultural export by opposing geographic locations. The piece combines the kinetics of pole dancers, the reticulation of drawing, and the elegiac eye of documented locality, while challenging the extinction of exoticism.

A custom made acoustic instrument is played live during the video presentation.
