For instance: video, film, painting, kinetic sculpture, etc). No bands, concerts, or events not primarily visual art allowed. Look for individual events and independent artist events. Avoid mainstream animation or Hollywood movie events. Find events that push you the defnition or common understading of animation. Look for things you have never seen before and perhaps out of your comfort zone. Do not choose something you already know and like. HISTORICAL ARTIST/ANIMATOR report

Research these names and find someone who you do not know, but who's work strikes you. Try to understand their unique approach to animation, why they developed the visual approach and strategy that they did. And finally, how do you think their work causes a viewer to see animation uniquely.

Choose from the list above. The point of this is to get you to work and think out of you comfort zone and different from what you already/like know about animation. We are looking at independent animators. Look at approaches of individuals, and look to choose an artist that you never knew about before, and their work is a discovery.

(1) write a 500 word, 12 point type, single spaced, report on how your chosen artist's work can influence people to look at animation in a different way.

(2)Upload your Word file to this DROPBOX link.
