ENTITY-3 landscape

In PART THREE You will chose either the technique stop motion or the technique of cgi to create an ANIMATED LANDSCAPE. You will also work in teams of 4-5 people.

In ENTITY-3 landscape, you may construct a unique set up for a moving landscape. It can be recognizable features in the landscape, or it could be abstract. The landscape animation should be at least 30 seconds. You should make it cycle-able or as close as possible.

IF YOU USE STOPMOTION:

you can use existing machines like a record turntable, or skateboard to move either the camera or the artwork. It can be you choice. For instance you can keep the camera in place, then drag your 3D landscape from left to right. Always adding new items into the frame to give the illusion of lateral travel. Or you may move the camera, put it on a cart or a skate board and set object in front of it as it moves forward. You also may paint or draw a long landscape on paper. Then drag laterally (using the glass shooter) to create movement. You could assigned each member of your team a section of the long drawing. The possibilities are endless.

Think creatively, and there are no boundaries for this but your imagination. You must always use good exposure or lighting whatever the case.

IF YOU USE CGI

you can break up the work between your team members and render sections that you will put together later.

For instance, if you create a CGI tunnel with many texture and light effects, you can give everyone the same tube, but they have to animate and render only their part of the tube. Then you put it together. The same would go for a lateral moving landscape.

YOU MAY CHOOSE ONE OR THE OTHER TECHNIQUE OR COMBINE. But you have 2 weeks to work on this including today. So you need to get started immediately.

THE ONLY RULE FOR BOTH: the landscape must always be moving in some way. It can be forward, backward, or side to side. Through advancing into a tunnel or retreating backward. Going up and down a tall vertical landscape, etc. It is up to you, but we must always be traveling. We should not feel we are seeing the same features twice (until the end of the 30 second cycle).
