For this assignment, as an alternative to using the provided

pre-rigged characters, you may do ONE of the following...

 
Use your OWN character/rig
Do a 2D ANIMATION
Do an ABSTRACT ANIMATION*

I have given many links on my site where you can begin a search. Of course, pools of free high-quality rigs are now easily available on the internet for non-commercial use. Click above to Google search.

 Have a 3D character you have already created and rigged? You may use it if it is approved by me. Unless you are a good rigger, this choice is not recommended! 2D animation is always acceptable for any assignment! If you have confidence and practice in drawn cell animation, or Flash, Toon Boom, or other; you may use it. You will be held to the same standards as 3D in terms of effectiveness and quality of animation. You are allowed to answer the assignment by using non-traditional characters or non-character animation, such as using animated forms, visual effects and/or experimental 2d/3d techniques. NOTE: if you choose this route you will be held to the same scrutiny as character animations in that you are expected to meet the same criteria of quality and effectiveness of communication. (see rubrics). Moreover, there will be more scrutiny placed on the visual and emotional effectiveness of the work.
