RE: Nickelodeon Virtual Worlds Group Internship Program

Hello Professor Ovelmen!

My name is Lauren Preston and I manage the internship program for Nickelodeon Virtual Worlds Group. I’d like to introduce the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Virtual Worlds internship program to your school and to your students. I received your name from some of our art staff and I was told you might be interested in partnering with our program. We'd love to talk with your Graphic Design, Illustration, & Drawing majors or any one interested in enhancing web illustration. We're a gaming company and we'd love to have your students intern with us! Please pass along this internship to anyone you think might be interested in interning with us in the summer! Feel free to give them my email address and send their resumes, cover letters & art samples to me, or if you'd like please send me a list of those you feel would be most interested and I will reach out to them. I'd love to work with you to provide great hands on experience for your students.

The internship program runs year round and it falls into Fall, Spring and Summer sessions. It is a Credit Internship which means that the students receive school credit. To be eligible, they must be enrolled in a class where they can receive school credit. They must be high school seniors or college students. It is a non-paid internship. We usually accept 20-30 interns per semester and start interviewing students one month prior to the session. We look for all majors and offer opportunities in the creative side and the business side of the industry. This is a great opportunity for students to get hands-on experience.

We are currently accepting resumes for the Summer Internships.

I’ve attached a flyer SEE BELOW that has more information regarding our company and the internship program. Please feel free to share this flyer with your students and call me if you have any questions.

I hope to have your students be part of our exciting internship program!

Very best regards,
Lauren
