DESCRIPTION:

"The Loser" as I imply it in this assigment, means showing a person or thing being rejected or dejected; prevented from attaining a desired goal by interference by a prop or situation. Please do NOT use SYMBOLS of rejection like a broken heart image or tears. Use your best animation skills to act out an emotion of dejection in your character.

EXAMPLES?

-A man approaching his car gleefully, then noticing a parking ticket has been pasted on his window. The emotions of anger and dejection ensues

model very SIMPLE props if you need

-A person longing to reunite with object of love and discovering it has left for another. there could be a thousand different ideas you can use for this one.

-A very hopeful applicant to a prestigious contest or competition, opening a letter with high expectations, then slowly learning it is a rejection letter.

-Coming home from a long day's work and dying for that last beer in the fridge, then realizing it is empty and the roomate got it. dejected emotions commence.

-A bowler, convinced what he rolled will be a strike, and prematurely walking back to his seat. When not hearing the signature"crash" of the pins, he spins around in disbelief he rolled a nothin'.

-Someone waiting patiently for a Cab in new York, waving down car after car but no one stops to pick him up. He becomes impatient and checks his watch and notices a penny on the ground. He bends down to pick it up, just then a cab stops by him, but he does not see it. By then time he stands up again the cab leaves and he misses his last opportunity.

-A person having to go to the bathroom so badly that....OK, you come up with the rest..

Again, you don't have to show costume, or other characters or props. Use a single character and body language to illustrate the whole story. If you use props, keep them simple.
